Africa Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF) is recruiting qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

1.) Project director

Location: Katsina

Education and experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. nutrition, public health or equivalent, sociology, MBA);
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing development projects, preferably in African countries with a strong focus on on-the-ground implementation;
  • Experience in managing behavior change projects would be an asset; and
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Ability and willingness to manage project implementation.
  • Knowledge and experience of nutrition/primary health care principles and management.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills. Willingness to help others and share the workload.
  • Ability to work in partnership with government staff and other organizations.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Autonomy, adaptability and flexibility.
  • Commitment to teamwork and understanding of how to contribute.

2.) Nutritionist

Location: Katsina

Education and experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Public Health/Nutrition) with a minimum of 5 years of experience;
  • Demonstrated experience working on nutrition-related issues with multi-sectoral teams in developing countries. The experience of African countries will be an asset;
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical approaches for operational work; and
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English. Knowledge of other Nigerian languages ​​will be an asset.

3.) Purchasing and Logistics Manager

Location: Katsina

Education and experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:

    • Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, science or social sciences with a background in procurement, logistics and supply chain management
    • At least 7 years of experience in procurement planning and management in the private sector/international organizations (NGO/INGO preferred);
    • Demonstrated experience in delivering effective and efficient procurement of health sector goods and products;
    • Knowledge and ability to work on ICT tools for inventory management, logistics and supply chain management;
    • Knowledge of procurement in Nigeria or FCV countries;
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English;
  • Strong credibility and integrity in this field.

4.) Responsible for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning

Location: Katsina

Education and experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have;

  • Master’s degree in statistics or economics or demography or anthropology or development planning or social work or epidemiology or related subjects of similar scope;
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation in public health/nutrition or in any large social sector program;
  • In-depth knowledge of M&E techniques and methodologies, including knowledge of conducting operations research, household surveys and qualitative assessments; data analysis, interpretation and reporting; and
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and software such as Stata, SPSS, MS Excel, etc. Knowledge of other Nigerian languages ​​will be an asset.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Understanding of local and international development issues.
  • Experience working in an NGO.
  • Good understanding of program design, theory of change functions and logical frameworks, including the links between objectives, indicators, targets and activities.
  • Extensive experience in supporting M&E strategies and systems and writing reports.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Experience with archiving systems and knowledge management.

5.) Head of finance and administration

Location: Katsina

Education and experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (a professional accounting qualification is essential) with a minimum of 10 years of experience;
  • At least 7 years of experience in a project funded by a bilateral or multilateral agency in Nigeria (or an African country);
  • Knowledge and expertise in the area of ​​project preparation, business negotiations, financial management, development of systems/internal controls, accounting, auditing and reporting; and
  • The ability to solve problems effectively by exercising good judgment will be an asset.
  • Must live in Katsina State.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Strong management, communication and negotiation skills, and ability to collect data from multiple partners.
